On the 18th of March at the American University based in Sofia the first Annual Conference called “Smart Logistics” held.

Main subjects of the Event were optimization in the warehouse areas and reserves, logistics software solutions, united standards as well as discussion regarding the methods for optimization of the supply chain and methods for shrortage. 

Participating Companies in the Seminar were: Smart Logistics, CEZ Bulgaria, EОN, Danone, A & S Maritza-Iztok 1, Lookoil, OMV, Storac Log, Lyra Software, Datecs, Optim-Al, DHL, GS1, Nestle Bulgaria and others.

During the Conference Sopharma Trading and other Companies exchanged useful practices regarding the improvement of logistic processes. 
Nana Ilieva, Director Logistics in Sopharma Trading represented our innovative system for warehouse management, used in our Regional Distribution Center in Sofia. The system combines different fully automated warehouse activities, which allow the processing of each order within 40 min. It includes the time when an order has been filed and the expedition had been made.

In order to optimize the warehouse processes we implemented a system with two commissionaire robots, gravity racks and picking zones equipped with conveyor belt, which accelerates and shortens the period within which the order is executed.

Our warehouse system is built with a large capacity, which exceeds our current needs almost twice, this way we will develop our business and no further investments will be made.
