The internal audit is an activity which is intended for carrying out of an independent assessment and for provision of assurance to the Board of Directors that the objectives of the categories below are accomplished:
- Assessment and improvement of the risk management and the process control;
- Effectiveness and efficiency of the operations, in compliance with the defined corporate objectives, external regulations and internal procedures;
- Reliability of the financial reporting and the information systems;
- Compliance with the applicable laws and provisions;
- Prevention and discovery of abuse;
The main goals of the Internal Control Department are related to:
- Identification, assessment and management of the significant risks;
- Establishment of control over the effectiveness of processes and creation of preconditions for their improvement;
- Review of the internal control systems, development of controls and inspection of their effectiveness.
